I breathe & reside somewhere within the intricate Ink lines that I draw on Paper.The Dip pen in my subconscious mind transforms into a single threaded needle set loose in fluid freedom. The nib draws a web-like interplay of fine lines that are subtle yet expressive. The Ink drawings flow over the smooth Paper in an unhurried & an introspective pace. Drawing constantly ever since my early childhood has always been an innate space to be within. During my process of working I mix techniques of Sanguines, Inks & graphite washes as I create the foundation for a layered background. The creative process for me is a mystical research that keeps me deeply engrossed on the desk of my Studio everyday. It's akin to a sacred Survey of quiet inner dialogues, circulating the themes of figurative forms or portraits of women intertwined with elements of nature. The experience of learning in Florence, Italy as part of a year's Art Scholarship ( professional category Art Prize from Accademia Riaci-2021 ) had a profound influence on my work style. I started to experiment & mix the techniques of Sanguine, Inks with graphite grains wash to further my drawing skills. I Believe that a narrative of Pen strokes could invoke a deeper narration of emotions than heaps of bright colours. And that the reminiscence of an intimate & melancholic line could somehow stay etched in the mind for longer. Art for me is an introspective research that finds newer channels as it encounters the lesser known dimensions of some kind of a spiritual existence.
